John Paul II betrayed 'Totus Tuus Marie'

MAY is the month of Mary and it is important to understand how John Paul II betrayed Mary -- by neglecting her thousands of altar boys and young girls -- by giving free rein to his pedophile priests during his 26 years papacy.

Pope John Paul II consecrated his 26 pedophiliac-papacy-years to Our Lady Mary....... with a Devil's tail encompassing 12,000 American little boys (and girls) sodomized by his JPIIPPA Pedophile Priests Army. He thought he was so holy he was embracing Our Lady everyday --- while he covered-up the worst evil committed against children under his Holy See of Peter. But Mary is no sweet-submissive woman under John Paul II's autocracy.

In her Magnificat Mary proclaims:
He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
He has put down the mighty from their thrones, and exalted those of low degree

One of those "mighty and proud" that God will soon scatter is John Paul II (together with his proud partner Escriva the Marquis de Peralta.) It is only a matter of God's timing when Christ will turn the Vatican like the Temple of Solomon into rubbles because of the John Paul II Altar of Sodomy. Benedict XVI, his papal clone has just touched the first domino that will make the Vatican fall like a deck of cards domino effect.

----------

John Paul II went to Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico three times as Pope but while he was there, he wallowed in his self-glory and was dumb as he knelt before Mary . Before this very image he intentionally ignored all the thousands of little boys (and girls) victims of his JPIIPPA pedophile-priests papal-army. Now Mexico is erupting with the cover-up of the heinous pedophilia of his 26 papal years, the Culture of Secrecy which he left behind.

Alleged Sex Abuse Victim Sues Cardinal Mahony

(CBS) LOS ANGELES

Another Mexican citizen sued Cardinal Roger Mahony Thursday and a cardinal in Mexico, alleging both share responsibility for sexual abuse the plaintiff claims he suffered at the hands of a priest who served in both countries.

Identified in court papers as Juan Doe, the man, now 22, filed his lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court. He alleges negligence, sexual battery and conspiracy.

Like Joaquin Aguilar Mendez, a Mexican citizen, 25, who filed a similar lawsuit in September, the new plaintiff maintains the Archdiocese of Los Angeles allowed the Rev. Nicholas Aguilar to go to Mexico to escape molestation charges in Los Angeles.

In Mexico, Aguilar sexually abused the plaintiff Mendez in 1997 when he was 13 and taking church classes, according to the lawsuit.

Mahony knew of allegations against Aguilar in Los Angeles and did not report them to authorities in time before he fled to Mexico, the lawsuit stated.

Aguilar remains a fugitive, the lawsuit stated.

Tod Tamberg, a spokesman for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, was not immediately available for comment.

In addition to Mahony, the lawsuit names as a defendants Cardinal Norberto Rivera of the Diocese of Tehuacan in Mexico.Los Angeles police estimated Aguilar molested 26 children during the nine months he served in Los Angeles and was charged with 19 felony counts, the lawsuit stated. John Paul II guilty by 'omission'

http://www.walkinthelight.ca/truth_about_the_pope.htm

THE TRUTH ABOUT THE POPE!

“And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. (Matthew 24:11)”

“Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the Called Out Ones of Yahweh, which he bought with his own blood. I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away talmidim (disciples) after them. So be on your guard! Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears. (Acts 20:28-31)”

“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Messiah. (Colossians 2:8)”

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. (2 Peter 2:1,2)”

“Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities. (Jude 1:8)”

“Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. (1 John 2:18)”

The Roman Catholic Church, headquartered in Rome, Italy, has its own powerful City-State, the Vatican, and claims over 1 Billion members worldwide The Roman Catholic Church teaches its followers that she is the true Faith. Yet most Roman Catholics are unaware that the Roman Catholic Church has so drastically developed her doctrines over the centuries away from Scripture that if the first century Netzarim could step into the 21st century to hear her teachings first hand, they would not even recognize her as the Faith of Yahweh. However, they would recognize her as – “MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS.”

Where did the paganization of Christianity begin? At its inception at the Council of Nicea in 325 CE. The Roman emperor Caesar Constantine organized the Roman Church and unified its doctrines.

Constantine retained the title of chief priest of the state cult until he died. When he died in 337 CE, he was still engaged in the process of simultaneously building pagan temples and Christian churches, and was slowly turning over the reigns of his pagan priesthood to the Bishop of Rome.

Caesar Gratian was the first emperor to refused to accept the title Pontiff Maximus (Supreme Priest) in 376 CE. So, in 378 CE Bishop Demasus of Rome assumed the title.

On the vacated seat of the Roman Empire arose the papacy. Said Adolf Harnack, "The Pope...is Caesar’s successor."—Adolf Harnack, What is Christianity? (New York: G. P. Putnam’s Sons, 1903), p. 270. From hereon, the Bishop of Rome was the Supreme Priest to the pagans and the head of the Christian church; the streams of paganism and Christianity flowed together under the leadership of Pontifex Maximus, ultimately to be shortened to the Pope.

The Pope is called the “vicar” (Vicar of Christ, Vicarious Filii Dei, Successor of St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles, Supreme Pontiff of the Universal Church, Patriarch of the West, Primate of Italy, Archbishop and Metropolitan of the Roman Province, Bishop of Rome, Sovereign of Vatican City) meaning he is vicariously “the anointed.” Concerning this, “Rebbe YahShua answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am anointed and will deceive many. (Matthew 24:4,5)”

By claiming to be “anointed,” the Pope claims religious as well as civil power this is represented by the two keys in the Gregorian Crest. His civil key was established when the Heruli, the Vandals, and the Ostrogoths would not recognize the Bishop of Rome as king, and were deposed.

The religious key of the kingdoms of Babylon, Medo-Persia, and Greco-Rome are preserved in the papacy. The priesthood and sacramental ritual of Catholicism were taken directly from the Babylonian cults.

After the death of Miltiades (Melchiades), a Messianic Believer from Northern Africa and overseer of the traditionally difficult Roman congregation, Constantine took over the Roman Messianic congregation and made Sylvester overseer giving him the pagan title of Bishop a position he occupied for twenty-one years. Constantine desired to form a super-religion that would incorporate all of the religions of cosmopolitan Rome, a concept that the Greek Sylvester embraced heartily. He re-interpreted the congregation into a “church” a term previously held by the followers of Circe. It was also during the reign of Constantine that the cross, the sacred T of the Tammuz Cult, became a sacred symbol in Christianity. In 314 he placed the symbol of the cross on his coins with the marks of Sol Invictus and Mars Conservator. With the public position of the congregation now a Church so greatly improved, the change was very noticeable in Rome. The congregation that had met in catacombs now had a basilica. The overseer now Bishop who had lived in the ghettos of Rome with the Jews now lived at Fausta’s Lantern Palace. In a deal worked out between Constantine and Sylvester, Constantine would retain the title Caesar and Sylvester would receive the title Pontiff Maximus or Pope, the supreme governor of religion of the Roman Empire. The decisions of the church were endorsed by civil law and backed by military power.

The Catholic Encyclopedia says, "Some bishops, blinded by the splendor of the court, even went so far as to laud the emperor as an angel of God, as a sacred being, and to prophesy that he would, like the Son of God, reign in the heavens.”

With the power of Rome behind him, Sylvester sought to wrestle authority of the Messianic Movement away from the Jewish Believers, namely the family of Rebbe YahShua, who up to this time had held the position of authority.

“A meeting between Silvester and the Jewish [Netzarim] leaders took place in 318....The vital interview was not, as far as we know, recorded, but the issues were very well known, and it is probable the [Rav] Joses, the oldest of the [Netzarim], spoke on behalf of the desposyni ("belonging to the King") and the rest… There were, of course, numerous blood descendants of Joseph…, but only those persons in bloodline with [Rebbe YahShua] through his mother qualified as desposyni... Ever since the Emperor Hadrian had conquered Jerusalem in the year 135, all Jews, and that included [Netzarim], had been forbidden to enter Jerusalem under pain of instant death....

They therefore asked Silvester to revoke his confirmation of Greek Christian bishops in Jerusalem, in Antioch, in Ephesus, in Alexandria, and to name instead desposynos [overseers].... Silvester curtly and decisively dismissed the claims of the [Netzarim]. He told them that the mother church was now in Rome, with the bones of the Apostle Peter, and he insisted that they accept Greek bishops to lead them. (“The Decline and Fall of the Roman Church,” by Father Malachi Martin, New York: Bantam, 1983. 30-31.)” It was the last known discussion between the Netzarim and the Roman congregation that Rabbi Sha’ul had worked so patiently with.

Sylvester systematically had the Roman legion round up as many of the descendants of Rebbe YahShua and had them executed. As you can imagine this had an amazingly strong effect on the Gentile Believers to leave the Messianic Movement and come into the Roman Catholic Church. Christians killed more Messianics in the first century after the Council of Nicea than had been killed by pagans in the century before Nicea.

"That the Church of Rome has shed more innocent blood than any other institution that has ever existed among mankind.... It is impossible to form a complete conception of the multitude of her victims, and it is quite certain that no powers of imagination can adequately realize their sufferings." - W. E. H. Lecky, History of the Rise and Influence of the Spirit of Rationalism in Europe (1955 ed.), Vol. 2, p. 40.

Rome through right of succession is the Babylon of the Apocalypse; and her character is seen by her system, the grand objects of her worship, her sabbath. her festivals, her doctrine and discipline, her rites and ceremonies, her priesthood and their orders, have all been derived from ancient Babylon. The Pope instead of being “Vicarious Dios” is truly the lineal successor of the throne of Belshazzar. For if it was MYSTERY, BABYLON that was birthed that night, when the Pagan Pontifex Maximus -king of Babylon, in the midst of his thousand lords, "praised the gods of gold, and of silver, and of wood, and of stone" (Dan 5:4), thus the Church of Rome is entitled to the name MYSTERY, BABYLON.

“I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication. And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of YahShua. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement….the angel said to me, "Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns…The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits. (Revelation 17:1-7,9)”

"Thou art another G-d on earth."—Christopher Marcellus’ Oration in the Fifth Lateran Council, 4th session.

"We hold upon this earth the place of G-d Almighty." - Pope Leo XIII, Encyclical Letter "The Reunion of Christendom.".

"All names which in the Scriptures are applied to Christ...all the same names are applied to the Pope."—Robert Bellarmine, Disputationes de Controversiis, Tom. 2.

"Hence the pope is crowned with a triple crown, as king of heaven and of earth and of the lower regions."—Lucius Ferraris, Prompta Bibliotheca , "Papa", art. 2.

Since the Roman Catholic Church cannot vindicate its teachings solely by the use of Holy Scripture, Papal Infallibility has usurped the authority of Scripture. Catholic Author John O'Brien: "Great as is our reverence for the Bible, reason and experience compel us to say that it alone is not a competent nor a safe guide as to what we are to believe." The New Catholic Catechism states: "The task of interpreting the Word of G-d authentically has been entrusted solely to the Magisterium of the Church, that is, to the Pope..."

However, the Roman Popes repeatedly contradicted each other:

Bishop Liberius signed the Arian Sirmium Creed which denied the Deity of Messiah; the next Pope in line ratified the Trinitarian Creed.

Pope Honorius contradicted so many Popes that he was anathematized (cursed) by Councils and Popes for centuries.

According to the Catholic Bishop Luitprand of Cremona who lived at the time of Pope John XII 955 CE, "No honest lady dared to show herself in public, for Pope John had no respect either for single girls, married women, or widows-they were sure to be defiled by him, even on the tombs of the holy apostles, Peter and Paul."

Pope Alexander VI (1492-1503) was a pedophile (shock!) who lived in public incest with his two sisters and his own daughter, Lucretia, from whom, he had a child. In 1501 he hosted a sex orgy in the Vatican.

Pope Stephen VI brought former Pope Formosus to trial by digging up his corpse from the grave and placing the body upon a throne. He was found guilty of heresy, his priestly vestments were ripped from his rotting flesh, his fingers were hacked off, and his body was dragged through the streets of Rome with great fanfare and thrown into the Tiber River.

The second successor of Pope Stephen had the body of Formosus, which a monk had drawn from the Tiber River, reinterred with full honors. Formosus' official orders were then declared valid.

Then Pope Sergius III turned around and declared that Pope Stephen was correct and Pope Formosus was wrong.

Pope Eugene IV condemned Joan of Arc to be burned alive as a witch. Then the Pope turned around and declared her to be a saint.

Pope Sixtus V had a version of the Bible prepared which he declared to be accurate. Just two years later, Pope Clement VIII declared that it was full of errors.

Pope Pius IX, in 1854 taught, “[Mary] has been appointed by G-d to be the Queen of heaven and earth” but it was not made "official" doctrine till 1954 by Pope Pius XII.

Rev. M. Hobart Seymour, in his Evenings with the Romanists, page 254, said, “I can never forget the shock I received when I first saw in their churches in Italy, the Virgin Mary crowned as Queen of heaven, seated on the same throne with Jesus crowned King of heaven. These were the God-man and God-woman enthroned alike. There was nothing to distinguish the one above the other."

Pope Pius IX, after decreeing the Immaculate Conception, made the cornerstone of the Romanish faith to believe and to teach “that salvation is received solely and alone through Mary.”

"In 1858, a six-year-old Jewish child, Edgardo Montaro, was kidnapped by papal police in Bologna on the pretext that he had been baptized 'in extremis' (i.e. when near death) by a servant girl six years earlier. Placed in the reopened House of Catechumens, the child was forcibly instructed in the Catholic faith. Despite the pleas of Edgardo's parents, [Pope Pius IX] adopted the child and liked to play with him, hiding him under his soutane and calling out, "where's the boy?" The world was outraged; no less than 20 editorials on the subject were published given the New York Times and both Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria and Napoleon III of France begged the Pope to return the child to his rightful parents, all in vain. [Pope Pius IX] kept Edgardo cloistered in a monastery, where he was eventually ordained as a priest." . . . (p.11)

"The notion of Jewish obstinacy was a crucial element in the case of Edgardo Montaro. When the parents of the kidnapped Edgardo pleaded in person with the Pope for the return of their son, [Pope Pius IX] told them that they could have their son back at once if only they converted to Catholicism -- which, of course, they would do instantly if they opened their hearts to Christian revelation. But they would not, and did not. The Montaras, in the view of [Pope Pius IX], had brought all their suffering upon their own heads as a result of their obduracy." (from Hitler's Pope, by John Cornwell, p. 27) In light of today’s revelation of priestly pedophilia the kidnapping makes sense.

Pope Pius XII in 1950 taught "The assumption of Mary" bodily into heaven without Scriptural authority.

Like it or not, Pope Pius XII was Hitler’s Pope. “As the papal envoy in Munich in 1932, prior to his becoming Pope in 1939, Cardinal Pacelli considered the Jews to be part of a Bolshevik plot to destroy Christendom and agreed to sanction the Vatican-German Concordat of 1933 that aided Hitler's rise to power. In doing so, he cleared the way for Hitler's “Final Solution” to continue. “He was Hitler's pawn. He was Hitler's Pope.” (Hitler's Pope: The Secret History of Pope Pius XII)

"The (ordinary) German Catholic supported Hitler's wars not only because such support was required by the NAZI ruler but also because his religious leaders formally called upon him to do so; not only because the actions and opinion of his fellow citizens made him feel obligated to share the nation's burdens and sorrows but also because, by example and open encouragement, the Catholic press and Catholic organizations gave their total commitment to the nation's cause; not only because of deep-felt fears of the terrible price (that) nonconformity would bring or the warm surge of satisfaction accompanying nationalistic or patriotic identification with the war effort, but also because his most cherished religious values had been called into play to encourage him to take his post 'on the field of honor' 'in the defense of Volk and Vaterland.' (the people and the fatherland) " p. 56 , and

"The German Catholic who looked to his religious superiors for spiritual guidance and direction regarding service in Hitler's wars received virtually the same answers he would have received from the NAZI ruler himself." German Catholics and Hitler's Wars, p. 17)

"The Church's interests cannot fail to coincide with ours alike in our fight against the symptoms of degeneracy in the world of to-day, in our fight against the Bolshevist culture, against an atheistic movement, against criminality, and in our struggle for the consciousness of a community in our national life, for the conquest of hatred and disunion between the classes, for the conquest of civil war and unrest, of strife and discord. These are not anti-Christian, these are Christian principles." (Adolf Hitler, in a speech delivered at Koblenz, August 26, 1934.)

What About Pope John Paul II (Bishop Karol Wojtyla)?

First, I believe Pope John Paul II was guilty of murder by omission. On September 28, 1978, 33 days after his election, Bishop Albino Luciani - Pope John Paul I, the Smiling Pope, was declared dead. No official death certificate was ever given. No official autopsy was ever preformed. His body was hastily embalmed. Official cause of death – unknown.

Here is what is known:

One hour before his death, Pope John Paul I placed on the desk of Cardinal Jean Villot, Vatican Secretary of State a list of appointments, resignations, transfers and doctrinal changes that would have transformed the Roman Catholic Church betraying the teachings of Pope Paul VI.

That evening 5 men were agonizing over the new Papacy.

Cardinal Jean Villot had noticed on the Pope’s desk the document, Humanae Vitae, the encyclical that prohibited artificial birth control. He noticed the annotations all over the document that had it been made doctrine would have reversed the long held policy. He was going to approve an anovulant pill developed by Professor Pincus - that this would become the Catholic birth-control pill. He also knew that the Pope was meeting with a US Congressional delegation concerning world population control and the Pope had promised a great surprise.

One floor below Pope John Paul’s apartment the lights were still on in the apartment of the Vatican Bank Chief, Chicago born Bishop Paul Marcinkus. For the past 33 days Pope John Paul’s men had been auditing the bank. He had received word that they had found billions in irregularities and Pope John Paul was planning to go public with his findings.

In Buenos Aires another banker tied to Bishop Paul Marcinkus had Pope John Paul I on his mind. His name was Robert Calvi. Pope John Paul I had notified the Bank of Italy that there were irregularities emanating from the Vatican Bank through the Bank of Italy leading to the Banco Ambrosiano in Buenos Aires. Through this bank Bishop Paul Marcinkus had amassed over 1 billion dollars for himself and countless more for his cronies. He was eventually convicted for currency fraud in 1981 - (over $1.3 billion dollars was missing from bank funds). Calvi fled to England where he was found dead, hanging from a bridge in London.

In New York, Sicilian banker Michele Sindona had been anxiously monitoring Pope John Paul’s activities. For three years he had been fighting Italian extradition for the fraudulent diversion of $225 million. The US government had ruled he had to go to Italy because Pope John Paul I had found that organized crime monies had been being laundered through the Vatican Bank by Robert Calvi but masterminded by Michele Sindona. Sindona was later convicted and found poisoned in 1986 in his prison cell.

In Chicago, Cardinal John Cody worried about Pope John Paul I. Cardinal Cody ruled over one of the richest archdiocese in the world for over 12 years. The archdiocese represented 2.5 million Catholics with nearly 3,000 priests, over 450 parishes with an unreported annual income over $250 million. For years priests, nuns, and lay workers had petitioned the Vatican to remove him because of his immorality. Pope Paul had refused to remove him. However, Cardinal Cody had been notified Pope John Paul I was removing him.

That evening, Pope John Paul I sat down to a dinner of clear soup, veal, fresh beans and a little salad. Sipping occasionally from a glass of water. At 8:45 p.m., Pope John Paul I phoned Cardinal Giovanni Colombo in Milan and discussed the changes he intended to make. "Of the phone conversation, Cardinal Colombo has said, 'He spoke to me for a long time in a completely normal tone from which no physical illness could be inferred. He was full of serenity and hope. His final word was, 'Pray.'" By 11 PM of that evening, Pope John Paul I was dead of a myocardial infarction, a form of heart attack.

Davis Yallop's book based on the testimony of Rome’s Police Chief, "In God's Name: An Investigation into the Murder of Pope John Paul I," (1984), believes that digitalis was the poison used to kill him. Just half a teaspoon of digitalis can cause a fatal heart attack.

The Pope was already taking Effortil, a low dose form of digitalis, for low blood pressure. The bottle of Effortil disappeared along with the Pope's glasses and slippers, probably because there were traces of vomiting on them. This was a symptom of digitalis poisoning. Also, the Pope's Will had disappeared. The embalmers were called immediately after Cardinal Villot confirmed the Pope's death at 5:30 am. No last rites sacrament of extreme unction was given!

Cardinal Villot's account was that Pope John Paul’s death was a tragic accident. He alleged that the Pope overdosed on his own medication. He would change his story three times before the official “heart attack” story was settled upon. By March 1979 Cardinal Villot was dead.

According to the Swiss Guard, Bishop Marcinkus was seen on foot lurking near the papal residence at an unusually early hour on the morning of the Pope’s death.

Within two weeks the College of Cardinals had elected Cardinal Karol Wojtyla Pope, the first non-Italian in some 450 years.

Arrest warrants were issued for Bishop Marcinkus and two subordinates, but they stayed inside Vatican City and charges were eventually dropped. On Sept. 28, 1981, Pope John Paul II promoted Marcinkus to archbishop and pro-president of the Pontifical Commission for the State of Vatican City (a virtual governorship). He retained his post as head of the Vatican Bank by Pope John Paul II, Bishop Marcinkus resigned from the Vatican Bank in 1990 for a modest retirement in Sun City, Arizona.

A federal grand jury served Cardinal Cody with a number of subpoenas on January 1981, demanding to see his financial records. He refused. In September when he still had not cooperated, the Chicago Sun Times ran a story outlining a large array of serious crimes he is alleged to have committed. Cardinal Cody died April 1982 and with him the investigation into his wrongdoing. Pope John Paul II allowed Cardinal Cody to stay on in the Chicago archdiocese till his death.

A curious side note to the Vatican Bank scandal. In 1993, an Italian court convicted Slovak-born Bishop Pavel Hnilica of losing $2.8 million of Church funds by trying to buy a suitcase supposedly containing documents that would absolve the Vatican of blame.

If the College of Cardinals silenced the true causes of death, in effect the entire College, including the Pope John Paul II, is an accomplice after the fact of the murder of Pope John Paul I.

“It would be natural that Holy Men would promote Holy Men. Evil men logically would be expected to endorse and promote evil men. Homosexuals would be expected to endorse, promote and protect homosexuals. Pedophiles, by Logical Extension, would be apt to defend, endorse, promote, and protect pedophiles especially if there would ever be a question of possible or actual blackmail. (“The Priesthood” by St. Alphonsus de Liguori)”

The coronation Pope John Paul II caused quite a stir amongst the College of Cardinals by the Pope refusing to take the Papal Coronation Oath that had bee taken by all popes since the 7th Century. I believe he could not take the oath which reads, “I will keep without sacrifice to itself the discipline and the rite of the Church. I will put outside the Church whoever dares to go against this oath, may it be somebody else or I,” in light of the growing scandals of which misappropriation of funds is the least.

Death Penalty

Messiah YahShua said, “You have heard that it was said to the men of old, You shall not kill, and whoever kills shall be liable to and unable to escape the punishment imposed by the court. (Exodus 20:13 & Deuteronomy 5:17) But I say to you that everyone who continues to be angry with his brother or harbours malice (grudge) against him shall be liable to and unable to escape the punishment imposed by the court; and whoever speaks contemptuously and insultingly to his brother shall be liable to and unable to escape the punishment imposed by the Sanhedrin, and whoever says, You cursed fool! [Raca - You empty-headed idiot!] shall be liable to and unable to escape the hell (Gehenna) of fire. (Matthew 5:21,22)”

You must have a Torah based reason to be angry and even then you must keep your temper under strict control. We walk not after the flesh (evil inclination) by after the spirit and the Fruit of the Spirit is temperance or self-control. And whatever you do, do not go to sleep while being angry for it will fester.

“When angry, do not sin; do not ever let your wrath (your exasperation, your fury or indignation) last until the sun goes down. (Ephesians 4:26)”

People in the World To Come will not go around calling each other names. That is not Kingdom behaviour. That is not appropriate behaviour for a citizens of the Commonwealth of Israel! The author of the letter to the Hebrews understood the holiness that is required of Believers because of our heavenly citizenship. “But you have come to Mount Zion, to the Heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living Elohim. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to the assembly of the firstborn, whose names are written in Heaven. You have come to Yahweh, the judge of all men, to the spirits of righteous men made perfect, to YahShua the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from Heaven? (Hebrews 12:22-25)”

Rebbe YahShua mentions three places men should fear: the “court,” the “Sanhedrin,” and the “Gehenna, the lake of fire.” Rebbe YahShua makes reference to all courts of law, which can punish the murderer with death. The basis of the interpretations of every law before the courts is not precisely the letter of the law but the intent of the law. What was the intent that was to be accomplished by the enacting of that law? This is also what we find in the courts of Heaven. Why did our Heavenly Father command, “Thou shalt not kill.” Rebbe YahShua said it was to control anger. We must control our anger which, left unchecked might lead to murder and thus our own execution; anger which stops short of murder but causes us to assassinate the character of our brother by saying “Raca” or “empty-headed idiot” will lead us to an eminently higher court in Heaven whose sentence is more severe than death. Rebbe YahShua said, “…be not afraid of them that kill the body, but are not able to kill the spirit: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both spirit and body in hell” (Matthew 10:28).

Pope John Paul II worked diligently to keep murderers from receiving the death penalty calling those countries which have such laws fellow murderers while only making pious statements against perpetrators of legalized murder by abortion. He condones the actions of abortionists by omission by not clearly calling for their arrest, trial and execution.

“Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of Elohim has Elohim made man. (Genesis 9:6)”

Pedophilia & Homosexuality

The Messiah said, “And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me. 6But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to sin! Such things must come, but woe to the man through whom they come! (Matthew 18:5-7)”

By omission, again, Pope John Paul II is guilty of pedophilia by failing to remove cardinals and bishops known to protect pedophiles, facts that a man in his position would have absolutely known about. Instead, he throws a few under priests at the authorities and calls it even. He is an accomplice in all these offenses against Yahweh and therefore is just as guilty as those who commit these acts under his jurisdiction.

Pope John Paul II tries to act as though Homosexuality is rare in the Church however a study revealed in the Kansas City Star newspaper on Jan. 31, 2000, indicates that from 15% to 30% of Catholic priests are homosexual with about half of them active. The article reveals that Roman Catholic priests (including bishops) in the United States are dying from AIDS-related illnesses at a rate four times that of the general population, and yet the Pope refuses to remove these clerics.

However, the “Wanderer,” a conservative Catholic newspaper reported, “how the Los Angeles contingent of bishops was so alarmed about a document being prepared at the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, which would bar the Ordination of homosexuals as diocesan priests or for religious orders, that they approached Pio Cardinal Laghi to express their opposition. Cardinal Laghi, told the L.A. bishops not to worry because Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger's proposed document would never get through the Vatican vetting process…I have heard likewise that there are more gay men in the Vatican than all of San Francisco.”

Idolatry

Our Heavenly Father said, “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I Yahweh thy Elohim am a jealous Elohim, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. (Exodus 20: 4-6)” Yet, Pope John Paul II saw no problem practicing idolatry.

Aug. 8, 1985, Pope John Paul II took part in Animist (animism can be considered to be the original idolatry – “Who changed the truth of Yahweh into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amien. (Romans 1:25)”) rites in the "Sacred Forest" in Togo.

In Feb. 2,1986 upon traveling to India to visit Sister Theresa, Pope John Paul II allowed a Shiva priestess to bless him and create the traditional Shiva mark on his forehead. Shiva meaning "One who purifies everyone by the utterance of His name" is the third god in the Hindu trinity. He is called the Destroyer.

Oct. 27, 1986, Pope John Paul II hosts 130 representatives of all the "main religions" in Assisi to pray for world peace.

Feb. 4 1993, Pope John Paul II engaged in rites with the high priests and witch doctors of Voodoo.

On the anniversary of the founding of Modern Israel, May 14, 1999, Pope John Paul II received a delegation composed of the Shi'ite imam of the Khadum mosque, the Sunni president of the council of administration of the Iraqi Islamic Bank and a representative of the Iraqi ministry of religion. At the end of the audience the Pope bowed to the Muslim scriptures and kissed the Koran (Qu'ran) at the Vatican. A Koran that blasphemes: "O people of the Scripture! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning Allah save the truth. The Messiah, Yeshu son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and His word which he conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit [sic.] from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers and say not 'Three' - Cease! (it is better for you! - Allah is only one G-d. Far is it removed from His transcendent majesty that He should have a son...The Messiah will never scorn to be a slave unto Allah."

Sainthood & AntiSemitism

September 3, 2000 Pope John Paul II beatified Pope Pius IX who was renown for his frequent anti-Semitic speeches. In one address, he is said to have called Jews “dogs of which there are too many present in Rome, howling and disturbing us everywhere”. In 1848 Pius IX forced the Jews of Rome back into the old ghetto to which they had been confined for centuries, and in the following year, he enacted racial laws against them. Jews were banned from public hospitals, prevented from giving evidence against Christians in papal courts and excluded from all institutes of secondary and higher education. And as we have stated, stole a Jewish boy for his own sick reasons.

Pope John Paul II was forced to quietly suspend plans for Pope Pius XII's sainthood known as “Hitler's Pope” due to widespread opposition from Jewish groups and others, the Catholic Church has defended his record.

Pope John Paul II on March 16, 1998 apologizes for the Catholic Church's silence and inaction during the Holocaust but does not admit complicity.

When he visited Israel in 2000, standing in Jerusalem, Pope John Paul II never recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital. During his remarks, the pope made no reference to Jerusalem at all. However, when the Pope visited the Palestinian-ruled town of Bethlehem and celebrated Mass there, he made reference to the Palestinian people's right to a homeland. I do not believe that anyone could claim Pope John Paul II as a friend of Israel. He was an avid diplomat of the Roman Catholic Church and did whatever he could to push its agenda.

John Paul II Legacy of Pain

Every Bishop and Cardinal that is now coming out to settle the abuses of pedophile priests were all appointed by John Paul II. They all reported to him and informed him about these abuses. Because he did not want to mar his papacy, he instructed them to keep all these at the utmost veil of secrecy. Now that he is dead and his papal clone Benedict XVI wants to speed track his canonization, John Paul II resurrects as the main leader responsible for the ingenious cover-up of this most heinous crime against children in church history. John Paul II the Great Deceiver and his cohorts in crime, the Bishops and Cardinals, are paying the sins of the fathers. Here is one more continuing saga of the John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army.

Diocese and victims still pay heavy price for Reilly's sheltering of abusive priests

When he was the bishop of the Diocese of Norwich from 1975 to 1994, his warm personality and quick wit endeared him to the region's Catholics.

At the annual Blessing of the Fleet in Stonington, people pressed up against him as he walked from St. Mary Church to the fishing docks. He sang “Danny Boy” at the St. Patrick's Day celebration in Norwich.

And when he was transferred in 1994 to the Worcester, Mass., diocese, more than 1,200 Catholics packed St. Patrick Cathedral in Norwich for his final Mass. Afterwards, they stood in a long line to hug him and wish him well.

That was the Bishop Daniel P. Reilly most people knew.

But at the same time, he transferred priests suspected of molesting children, ignoring warnings that they posed a danger. He failed to report what he knew to police and fought the release of documents sought in lawsuits and attempts to depose him. On the advice of attorneys, he refused to answer questions put to him during a deposition and said he could not recall conversations and letters about accused priests until he was shown documentation. He has admitted the diocese maintained a secret archive in which he placed information about priests accused of sexual misconduct.

In one case, he tried to stop a woman from starting a Web site devoted to those who claimed to have been molested by priests.

The Diocese of Norwich has now fielded priest-abuse claims, most of which involve Reilly, that have caused it to pay out about $4.4 million in settlements — more than $1 million of which has come from the weekly donations the region's Catholics make to their churches.

Two weeks ago, the diocese agreed to pay $300,000 to Joshua Hethcote of Coventry, who said he was molested by the Rev. Eugene Orteneau at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Storrs in 1992.

The diocese settled the case even though it has said it and Reilly were not aware of the allegations until Hethcote filed his lawsuit in 2005. The Society of Jesus, the order of priests to which Orteneau belonged, paid Hethcote an additional $900,000.

Three more lawsuits are pending against the diocese.

Reilly, now 79, retired in 2004 and lives in the rectory across the street from St. Paul's Cathedral in Worcester. He declined repeated interview requests that explained the nature of this story. Contacted Monday, Reilly said he would defer to the advice of the diocese not to comment.

In a sworn affidavit in the Hethcote case that he signed Nov. 9, 2006, Reilly said that during his entire time as bishop of Norwich, neither he, the diocese nor its churches “ever engage or participate in any plan or policy or conspiracy of concealing or aiding in the concealing of any criminal conduct or in the concealing of any alleged child-abuse activities of any person.”

Many people would disagree with that statement.

“I have had dinners with him. I've drunk with him and I've raised money with him,” said Mary Jean of Leominster, Mass., who said her son escaped a molestation attempt by a priest Reilly transferred to her church. “He's a decent guy,” she said of Reilly, “but when it comes to this issue, he always put the almighty church before the people. I don't think he's ever appreciated the damage this does to families. It destroys lives.”

Michael Nelligan, who received a $2.1 million settlement from the diocese after charging he was molested by a priest Reilly brought to the diocese, is more harsh in his assessment.

“This guy should be in jail along with the rest of the bishops of that period,” he said.

Nelligan's attorney, Robert I. Reardon Jr. of New London, said some of Reilly's actions were “classic transfers” by the Catholic Church, cases in which a bishop, after receiving complaints about a priest, reassigned that priest without warning anyone at the new parish, not even the other priests there.

“He tended to turn a blind eye in hopes things really were not what they appeared to be,” Reardon said. “The hierarchy of the church refused to believe this was a problem even though they were warned. Instead, they were more concerned about keeping the priests they had because of the shortage (of priests).

“It's remarkable how similarly these priests are handled no matter where you go in the country,” he said.

Joseph Sweeney, the Norwich diocese's attorney, disagrees.

“If you make a careful analysis, there was never a situation in which Bishop Reilly failed to report things he had a good-faith reason to believe,” he said. “He certainly didn't condone this stuff. When given the appropriate information, he acted decisively.”

While many dioceses around the country have been rocked by allegations of priests having abused large numbers of children, Sweeney said that has not been the case in the Norwich diocese.

“From what I know about the cases around the country, the Norwich diocese is clean,” he said.

•••••

The following accounts of priest-abuse cases involving Reilly and the Norwich diocese have been culled from lawsuits, depositions and other court documents, media reports, interviews with attorneys and others involved in complaints, and bishopaccountability.org, an Internet-based clearinghouse that tracks allegations of sexual abuse by Catholic priests.

• Reilly allowed the Rev. Bruno Primavera to come to the diocese in 1978 despite a letter from church officials in Toronto warning Reilly that Primavera tended to seek out the companionship of teenage boys on a one-to-one basis and that he had been seeing a psychiatrist about the issue.

Reilly said phone calls were made to Toronto in which the diocese “found out what this was about.”

Three members of the five-member diocesan committee in Norwich that reviews potential priests recommended to Reilly that he not allow Primavera to work in the diocese.

Nevertheless, Reilly assigned Primavera to a church in Westbrook, where he allegedly molested Nelligan, then a 15-year-old altar boy, on a number of occasions. After allegations in 1979 in Westbrook of theft and homosexuality and Primavera's denial that he had had any inappropriate contact with young boys, Reilly transferred Primavera to St. Mary Star of the Sea Church in New London.

There, Primavera allegedly molested a 15-year-old boy named Michael Long in the rectory. Reilly did not call police about the New London case even after Long's mother complained to the church's pastor that her son had told her “something bad” happened with the priest. The pastor in turn alerted Reilly. The day before Mrs. Long's complaint in February 1980, Waterford police had told Reilly they had found Primavera in a “compromising position” with teenage boys in a car.

After Primavera was in New London for just a few months, Reilly sent the priest back to Toronto for “less than satisfactory performance.” While he did not call Toronto with details of what occurred, he has said he thought another diocesan official did.

The diocese assured Mrs. Long that Primavera was being thrown out of the priesthood. Instead, the priest went back to Canada, where he received psychological treatment at the Southdown Treatment Center. He later went on to serve at several other parishes before he was arrested for molesting boys at a military school in New Mexico in 1990 and was sentenced to four years in prison.

Reardon said the Norwich diocese fought his attempts to get documents about Primavera, who died in 2006, from the Toronto diocese and to depose church officials there. The Norwich diocese paid Nelligan and Long $2 million and $1.1 million, respectively, two of the largest individual settlements in the U.S. priest-abuse scandal.

The Most Rev. Michael Cote, the current bishop of Norwich, not Reilly, sent Mrs. Long a written apology on behalf of the diocese last fall. It apologizes for Primavera's actions but not those of Reilly.

• In the mid-1990s, Reilly watched priest Richard Buongirno give a $40,000 check to a young man who claimed the priest had sexually abused him in the 1970s when he was between 16 and 19. The incidents occurred before Buongirno became a priest in 1984. Reilly sent Buongirno for treatment at the Institute of Living, a psychiatric facility in Hartford, which the diocese said then cleared Buongirno to return.

Reilly assigned Buongirno to churches in Cromwell and Middletown, where pastors later said they saw Buongirno bring boys into his private room. The transfers took place even though the young man who was molested said that Monsignor Thomas Bride assured him the diocese would never allow Buongirno to be involved with children in the future.

A few years earlier, a 9-year-old boy said Buongirno repeatedly molested him while assigned to St. Matthias Church in East Lyme, but the diocese said an investigation by the state Department of Children and Families failed to substantiate the allegation. The diocese never told the Institute of Living about that allegation.

The boy later said that Buongirno repeatedly sexually assaulted him again when he was a 16-year-old student at Xavier High School in Middletown. Court testimony showed internal memos suggested the diocese was concerned about Buongirno's mental state as far back as 1982.

The diocese and Buongirno each paid the victim $350,000 in 2003. Buongirno, who lives in Wallingford, was removed from the ministry in 1998. He did not respond to requests for an interview.

• Reilly transferred the Rev. Thomas Shea, now deceased, who was accused of molesting at least 16 girls in 11 parishes, to St. Joseph's Church in New London in 1976, with orders that Shea be kept away from children in the parish school. Girls at St. Joseph's said Shea liked to take photos of them in their bathing suits.

The transfer came after Shea was placed on a two-year sick leave prompted by complaints from parents in a Higganum church that Shea was kissing their 8- and 10-year-old daughters. Two previous bishops had also transferred Shea from parish to parish and had placed him on sick leave after complaints.

In 1979, Reilly transferred Shea to St. John Church in Norwich, where two girls, ages 11 and 13, complained about Shea. In 1982, Reilly sent Shea to St. John the Apostle Church and The Daughters of the Holy Ghost School in Plainfield. The next year, a woman came forward who said that as a child Shea had made her masturbate him. Reilly removed Shea and sent him for treatment but never went to police.

A lawsuit by one of Shea's alleged victims is now pending in New London Superior Court. It charges that Reilly received numerous psychological and medical reports about Shea while Reilly was bishop as well as correspondence about Shea from an unnamed bishop.

• Reilly relieved the Rev. Thomas Doyle of his duties in 1992 but did not go to police when twin brothers Mathew and Mark Nutt told him that Doyle had shown them pornographic movies and repeatedly sexually assaulted them at a church in Rockville beginning in 1977 when they were 12.

The diocese was later exonerated, but the Marianist order, to which Doyle belonged, paid an undisclosed settlement. The Marianists said that Doyle died in March.

• Reilly did not go to police after former altar boy Thomas Deary of Putnam told him that the Rev. Bernard Bissonnette had molested him in 1962. Reilly has said he referred Deary to a counselor and met with him several times.

Deary committed suicide in 1991, and Reilly later told Deary's brother that he did not know where Bissonnette was living, even though the diocese was sending him monthly checks at the time. Deary's brother hired a private investigator who found Bissonnette living with a family in New Mexico.

Bissonnette, who was ordained in 1958, has been accused of molesting children in New Mexico and in several other states during his 38 years as a priest, the first five of which were spent in the Norwich diocese.

In a lawsuit against the diocese, a Wethersfield man identified only by the pseudonym David Doe accused Bissonnette of repeatedly sexually assaulting him from 1960 to 1962 and forcing him to perform sex acts on other children. The suit, pending in Hartford Superior Court, charges the diocese disregarded many complaints that Bissonnette was molesting children.

In 2005, Pope Benedict XVI defrocked Bissonnette after receiving a petition from Cote. Bissonnette, believed to be living in New Mexico, could not be located.

•••••

In the recently settled Hethcote case, the lawsuit alleged that Reilly, the diocese and the Storrs church to which Orteneau was assigned knew or should have known about the abuse, failed to report it to authorities and disregarded many complaints about Orteneau. Sweeney had maintained that the first time the diocese and Reilly became aware of the allegations was when Hethcote filed his lawsuit in 2005. But two weeks ago, he said that in the summer of 2003, Hethcote's sister filed a complaint with the diocese that Orteneau had molested two other boys. The complaint did not mention her brother.

In his Nov. 6, 2006, affidavit, Reilly said that at no time before Dec. 8, 1994, when he left the Norwich diocese to become bishop in Worcester, did he or the diocese ever receive a complaint that indicated Orteneau was unfit to be a priest. Sweeney said the diocese reported the complaint by Hethcote's sister to the Jesuits as well as to the state Department of Children and Families. He said he did not know if the diocese also went to police with the complaint. Sweeney said he did not know if the diocese reported the alleged abuse of Hethcote to police when it became aware of it through the lawsuit.

Carolyn Linsey, the Fairfield lawyer representing the Jesuits in the case, said Orteneau has not been involved in active ministry since 1994, when he left the Storrs church, and that he was dismissed from the Jesuit order in 2003 because of “other issues.” While she said Orteneau is believed to be alive, the Jesuits do not know where he is now.

•••••

It is unclear exactly what Reilly knew about the Rev. Paul Hebert, who has been sued by a Pawcatuck man who alleges the priest molested him at St. Michael Church in Pawcatuck in 1973 when he was 13.

“The church has failed to disclose materials that would allow me to comment on that,” said Pawcatuck attorney James Hall, who represents James Fish.

The suit also says there is a 71/2-year span during which there are no documents in Hebert's file.

Court documents show a parishioner told the diocese in 2004 that she and her husband witnessed “unsettling” events concerning priests and boys at St. Michael's but did not tell anyone at the time. She said she had talked to the boys since but believe they will not come forward because it would be devastating for their parents, who do not know what occurred.

The suit says the diocese disregarded many complaints that Hebert was sexually exploiting minors in the parish for many years. Hebert was a diocesan priest from 1959 — many years before Reilly's arrival — until 2004, at which time he was removed when Fish's complaint was made public.

Hebert, who served at parishes in Old Saybrook, Pawcatuck, Montville, Clinton and Pomfret, denied the allegations at the time. The Branford law firm of Milano & Wanat, which represents the diocese, did not return phone calls seeking comment. The South Windsor nursing home where Hebert was living when the suit was filed in 2005 said no one with Hebert's name lives there now.

•••••

Before he came to Norwich, Reilly worked for 21 years as a high-ranking church official in the Providence diocese, where he has been named as a defendant in numerous lawsuits, some of which accused him of participating in the transfer of abusive priests.

One of those transfers involved the Rev. James Silva, whom court documents say from 1967 to 1969 allegedly molested at least five boys at two parishes and that one pastor was aware of the abuse. In 1971, Reilly appointed Silva as regional director of the Catholic Youth Organization, where he replaced another priest who had been accused and was later convicted of child molestation.

The lawsuit says that over the next 20 years, Silva molested at least 17 more boys in various Rhode Island parishes. He was eventually arrested and pleaded guilty to molesting one boy in 1994.

Another allegation against Reilly involved the late Rev. Robert Marcantonio, who was sued by an altar boy in Iowa as well as one in Cranston, R.I., who said the priest abused him. The Iowa accuser said Reilly was informed by a Providence psychiatrist in 1970 that Marcantonio had been involved in homosexual activity with up to 15 boys ages 12 to 14 and that there was a poor prognosis for a cure.

Reilly then was involved in allowing Marcantonio to enroll at Iowa State University and to undergo psychotherapy. A year later, Reilly sent a letter to a priest in Iowa thanking him for the hospitality he showed Marcantonio, who returned to Rhode Island in 1975 and was accused of molesting more boys.

During a 1997 deposition, Reilly's attorney repeatedly objected to what seemed to be clearly worded questions and barred Reilly from answering many questions, including whether Reilly received complaints about Marcantonio's sexual conduct or about allegations that he had molested between 10 and 15 boys in Cranston, R.I. Reilly also could not recall writing a letter to church officials in Iowa about the priest.

The Providence diocese has since agreed to pay $14 million to 40 people who said they were molested by Providence diocesan priests, according to Carl Deluca, a Warwick, R.I., attorney who represented many of the victims.

As bishop of Worcester, Reilly was also accused of knowingly transferring a sexually abusive priest. In one case, according to court records, Reilly agreed to a $300,000 settlement with a 19-year-old man who said the Rev. Peter Inzerillo sexually assaulted him in 1985 and 1986 when he went to Inzerillo for counseling because he had been sexually assaulted by another priest. Reilly transferred Inzerillo to a church in Leominster, Mass., in 2000. There, parents forced Reilly to remove Inzerillo two years later after they said the priest had tried to molest between eight and 10 boys and gave a graphic talk about sexual arousal to boys and girls on a retreat.

Inzerillo could not be located.

•••••

Court records show that some priests and sometimes parishioners in the Norwich diocese were aware of possible sexual abuse by priests but did not report what they knew to police.

Overall, the diocese says it has spent nearly $4.4 million to settle priest-abuse cases. Of that, the diocese's insurance company, the Catholic Mutual Relief Society of Omaha, Neb., paid $3,012,234 while the diocese paid $1,064,822. The diocese has said most of the recent $300,000 payment to Hethcote was covered by the insurance company, but would not say exactly how much.

It is impossible to corroborate the figures because the diocese refuses to detail all of the settlements it has made over the years, citing confidentiality agreements with victims.

What is certain is that a large portion of the money to pay the victims has come from Catholics in eastern Connecticut who contribute each Sunday to parish churches.

Cote, the current Norwich bishop, stressed in a February letter to all churches in the diocese that none of the settlement money comes from contributions made to such organizations as the annual Bishops Appeal, Catholic Relief Services and Catholic Charities. He said an insurance reserve fund has been established to cover deductible and uninsured items and that the money spent from the fund has been “minimal.”

Sweeney, the diocese's attorney, said that each parish in the diocese pays a percentage of the diocese's annual insurance coverage. A portion of each payment goes to the premium while the rest goes into the reserve account. Sweeney likened the bill to the other bills each church has to pay. The money to pay a parish's bills comes from the weekly contributions from parishioners. In addition, Cote said the diocese has added money from “unexpected and undesignated gifts” to the reserve fund.

Sweeney declined to say how much money is now in the reserve fund. He said the impact of the settlements on the diocese's insurance rates is unclear but that the insurance company pays the diocese's legal fees.

The diocese says that 20 of its priests have been accused of sexually abusing children. Sweeney said the diocese will not identify the priests or say how many complaints were filed against each of them because of confidentiality and personnel reasons. He said the diocese is not legally permitted to release such information from its personnel files without releases from the priests, some of whom are dead. Sweeney said he did not know if the diocese asked any of the priests to sign release forms.

Sweeney also said the diocese will not release the list of settlements it has made over the years because of confidentiality agreements.

“We have to respect those agreements,” he said.

Sweeney also said that divulging all the details of the cases now would serve no purpose. While Reardon said he was willing to release Reilly's deposition in the Primavera case, Sweeney would not agree to the release. Portions of the deposition are on file in two Connecticut courthouses.

•••••

Sweeney vehemently defends Reilly's actions, saying Reilly always took quick and decisive action based on the information he had at the time.

Sweeney said that in some cases Reilly did not go to police with complaints because he understood the statute of limitations on the prosecution of cases had expired. In other cases, he said, Reilly only became aware of the allegations when a lawsuit was filed years later, which he said was the case with Nelligan's accusations against Primavera, Joshua Hethcote's allegations against Orteneau and those by former altar boy Michael Hayes, who said the Rev. Raymond Jean sexually assaulted him at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Ledyard in 1985. The diocese paid Hayes a $275,000 settlement.

Sweeney said many of the priests accused in the diocese were not diocesan priests but were visiting from religious orders and came highly recommended. In some cases, he said, judges have removed the diocese as a defendant because it was not responsible for, or aware of, what was occurring. In some cases, the diocese has argued, it was not responsible for alleged abuse because the priests were acting outside their officially sanctioned duties.

Sweeney said Reilly ordered Primavera to leave even before a mother of one of the victims reported him to St. Mary Church in New London. Reilly, at that point, had already received the report from Waterford police that Primavera had been found in a compromising position with teenage boys.

“He felt the simple solution was to get him on the road. He was fed up and got rid of him immediately,” Sweeney said of Reilly. “The bishop felt we were not going to open an investigation and get involved in collateral issues.”

Asked why Reilly did not go to New London police, Sweeney said the complaint by the mother was vague. “What's 'something bad?' Is someone giving him alcohol? Anything could possibly be bad,” he said.

Sweeney said Reilly also acted in good faith in the case involving Buongirno. He said a psychological exam of the priest before he was ordained found he was fit to be a priest and that a state Department of Children and Families investigation did not substantiate the allegations of the 9-year-old boy. He said the Institute of Living, which is known for its treatment of sexually abusive priests, told Reilly it did not expect further problems with the priest. The diocese, however, did not tell the Institute about the DCF investigation, according to court records.

In the case of Doyle and the Nutt brothers, Sweeney said a judge removed the diocese as a defendant in the case because it was not responsible for the priest's actions.

With Shea, who is accused of molesting numerous young girls, Sweeney said there have been complaints about Shea being “socially awkward” and hugging and kissing women in public. But Sweeney said the diocese viewed it as socially inappropriate “but not sexually predatory.”

Court records show that Reilly opened the Domus Vitae Center in Willimantic, which provided psychological counseling for priests, including those accused of sexual abuse.

•••••

Some of the victims who have won settlements from the diocese did not respond to requests to be interviewed.

Mary Jean, the founder of the Worcester Voice, which supports the victims of priest abuse in the Worcester diocese, said in an interview that she told Reilly that Inzerillo tried to molest her son and others in the sacristy of the church and that the priest had also taken the boys on a trip during which he spoke to them about sex and masturbation.

“I had a meeting with Bishop Reilly over this and he didn't see the significance of it,” she said. “I asked him how a man of God could allow this to happen.”

When she decided to start a Web site for her group in 2002, she said Reilly had a diocesan attorney and police try to stop her, alleging it was slander.

“He tried to influence everyone he could,” she said.

Jean said she had been active in her church and helped raise $1 million for the local Catholic high school. Despite that, she said she and others in her parish had to hire an attorney to force Reilly to get rid of Inzerillo.

“It destroyed my faith,” she said. “It destroyed my whole family's faith. We don't go to church anymore.”

John Paul II and Tom Doyle, the prophet who outlives the Pope so he can testify to the JPII dark legacy

The foremost prophet and scholar on the JPIIPPA John Paul II Pedophile Priest Army is Fr. Thomas Doyle. I have featured him several times http://jp2m.blogspot.com/2006/10/john-paul-iis-worst-crop-of-bishops.html
and one of his truest statements is that we have "the worst crops of Bishops in contemporary memories" all of whom were appointed by the worst Pope in modern history.

John Paul II is the worst Pope because he covered-up the most heinous crime against children for 26 years. He used all his powers as Pope to protect and therefore proliferated the secret pedophilia activities of his Pedophile Priests Army.

Tom Doyle presented to him scholarly findings and he always turned a deaf ear. He wanted his papacy to be impeccable while covering pedophilia under his papal tails.

But as Christ said, what is hidden shall be revealed, and now that John Paul II is dead, his dark legacy is coming to light...through the first prophet whom he rejected, Tom Doyle. Here is his recent testimony and may he have more to come.

God bless you, Tom Doyle, you are the John the Baptist of the 20th century, the prophet of John Paul II who ruled for a quarter of a century and who covered-up his thousands of pedophile priests who roamed the Catholic churches killing thousands of souls of young children.

Now Benedict XVI want to fast-track the sainthood of John Paul II.

Hail John Paul II the Great! Naa. Go to Hell John Paul II the Great!

Go to Hell John Paul II the Great and join the other dead pedophile priests whom you protected as members of your JPIIPPA John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army. Have a great party with the Devil, the "father of lies" whom you represented as Pontiff - as you yourself was the "father of lies" of pedophile priests within the Catholic Church of Christ.

Tom Doyle on SOL Reform in Delaware

TESTIMONY OF
THOMAS DOYLE, J.C.D., C.A.D.C.,
IN SUPPORT OF S.B. 29, STATE OF DELAWARE

April 4, 2007
State Capitol
Dover, Delaware

Personal and Professional background

I am a Catholic priest and a member of the Dominican Order. I was ordained in 1970 and have served in a variety of assignments including parish work, college and university teaching and administrative work. I served as an Air Force chaplain from 1986 until 2004. My first assignment was at Dover AFB. While on active duty I served in several conflicts including Operation Iraqi Freedom in Iraq. I have five master’s degrees and a doctorate. I am also a certified addictions therapist.

From 1981 to 1986 I served at the Vatican embassy in Washington D.C. I was the staff canon or church lawyer. While serving there I was assigned to monitor the correspondence concerning a case of clergy sexual abuse from Lafayette, Louisiana.

The perpetrator’s name is Gilbert Gauthe. He was (and still is) a true pedophile in that all of his victims were pre-pubescent boys. One of his many victims was a pre-pubescent girl. This case received national media attention because of the extensive cover-up by the bishop of the diocese as well as the number of very young victims. The media focused on the fact that the accused priest was transferred from parish to parish for twelve years before pressure from parents and adverse publicity forced the diocese to act. The priest was sentenced to 20 years in prison. No one knows the exact number of young boys whose lives were ruined because of his abuse. All are adults now. Some have committed suicide. Many have led traumatic and difficult lives as they have sought in vain to ease the pain that the sexual violation has caused them.

Since that time I have been deeply involved in trying to help victims find support, healing and justice. I have worked with hundreds as a pastoral minister, a supporter and a friend. I have been wit their families and friends. I have also worked with the accused priests in several capacities: as a legal advisor, pastoral minister and therapist. I have remained committed to this cause primarily because of the profound effect that contact with the victims and their families has had on me. The most important aspect of my contact with the victims, indeed perhaps the most important act of pastoral ministry I have ever done, is to apologize to victims. I first attempt to gain some minimal degree of trust between the victims, their families, especially their parents, and myself. I fully realize that this is most difficult for them because I am still considered a priest and am associated in their minds with the institutional Church, and it was priests and bishops in this institution that perpetrated the initial abuse and followed this up with the spiritual abuse by the way they were often treated when they disclosed to the Church authorities. After this trust is established I then honestly apologize to them for what a fellow priest has done to them and for what the clerical establishment has done to them. Without exception, I have been told by victims and/or their families that this was the first time anyone from the Church had ever apologized to them. Some have recalled meetings with various Church officials including bishops but they have remarked that none ever apologized.

I have been a consultant and expert witness in several hundred civil cases throughout the U.S., Canada, Ireland, England, Australia, New Zealand and Mexico. I have been involved as a supporter and advisor to victims in several more countries. I have been a consultant and expert witness to several grand juries in the U.S.

I have published several articles in professional journals, written contributions to books and co-authored a book on the subject of child sexual abuse. The book is not a polemic but a factual history of clergy sexual abuse in the Catholic Church based on the Church’s own internal documentation.

In the course of this painful, shocking and scandalous journey I have been forced to accept the shameful fact that the Church that has been an essential part of my life has intentionally placed its own image, power and financial stability far above the lives of the most vulnerable in its midst. I have regretfully accepted the fact that those in positions of power have forgotten that the Church is not the clergy, the buildings and the power structures, but it is the people and among those people, by far the most important are the most vulnerable, marginalized and hurt. It is certainly shocking and scandalous when we realize that the people most grievously harmed by the churches are their own faithful and devoted followers.

Clergy sexual abuse has been a reality in the Catholic Church not just since 1984 but throughout its history. This terrible dark side was always known by a few but in 1984 it became known to the Catholic and general public. The shocking revelations from Boston in January 2002 were not the beginning but rather a point of “critical mass” when it seemed that the wall of denial that surrounded many of the Catholic laity and the general public was finally shattered. These revelations confirmed what had been the practice in Boston and throughout the Catholic Church in the U.S.: accused priests were not turned over to law enforcement authorities but rather were routinely transferred to other assignments where they continued to sexually abuse the young and the vulnerable.

Since 2002 the public has been exposed to this terrible, dark underside that exists not only in the Catholic Church but in other religious denominations and with both private and public institutions as well. The proposed changes in State legislation that are being urged in Delaware and in several other States are not about the Catholic Church. These changes are proposed to help any victim of any Church or institution and indeed any victim of family or incestuous abuse.

If anything, the experience with the Catholic Church has served as a catalyst that set off a series of explosive revelations about many other institutions, religious and secular alike. These revelations can be summed up thus:

Children and the vulnerable have been devalued because of their powerlessness.
Churches will speak out against injustices perpetrated by other institutions, public or private, or by individuals, but they will not acknowledge or admit to similar injustices and immoral acts committed by their own clergy.

Churches and institutions tend to hide and deny internal problems and the more socially unacceptable and potentially damaging the problem, the stronger and more organized the cover-up.

Churches have hidden behind the protections of the First Amendment in order to avoid legal accountability for criminal behavior
Churches and some private institutions have relied on presumed deference and privilege to avoid answering to society for internal crimes

Some have criticized victims for waiting years or even decades before “going public.” One retired district attorney even had the audacity to argue that young children sexually abused by priests should have known enough to report to the police at the time it happened. Because of the public revelations of widespread sexual abuse of minors and vulnerable adults over the past twenty-five years, we have learned much about the complex nature of the sexual abuser but more important, we have learned that the sexual violation of any person but especially a child or young adolescent is not a passing event that can be set aside and forgotten as life takes its course.

Sexual abuse is a profound violation that has tragic physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual consequences:

The trauma of sexual abuse is deeply embedded and long lasting, often for the duration of one’s life

Most younger victims are abused at the age of 12 and only reveal their sexual abuse at the age of 40.

Youthful victims generally do not reveal their abuse because of fear, guilt, confusion and fear that no one will believe them

The impact on victims of Catholic clergy is especially toxic because of the almost total trust the victims place in priests and because of their belief, instilled by Church teaching and tradition, that priests take the place of God.

Why is Legislative Reform Necessary

Legislative change is needed, in fact it is essential, because the churches and most private institutions will not take proactive measures to reach out to victims, to intervene with sexual predators or to change a toxic climate that protects sexual abusers. The experience with the Catholic Church has proven this denomination and other denominations as well as other private and public institutions, will only change when forced to do so by a power greater than themselves and that power has been the media, public opinion and especially the U.S. legal system.

The changes that the institutional Catholic Church has instituted since 2002 have come about only because the Church’s authority structure, the bishops, has been forced to acknowledge that its policies and its very culture had protected the institution to the detriment of the victims. Various official bodies in the Church including its lobbyists in the State Catholic Conferences have boasted that the institutional Catholic Church in the U.S. has done more than any other organization to respond to the problem of the sexual abuse of minors. This assertion needs to be supported by factual evidence which is never produced by those who make it. More important, the historical fact remains: the institutional Catholic Church has acted only in response to force and pressure from the media, public outrage and lawsuits.

Legislative change is essential to hold churches and other private institutions accountable because without the external pressure derived from the realization that the protection of sexual abusers will not be tolerated, this scourge will continue and thousands more children will be violated and grow into severely damaged adults.

This is not a ploy engineered by greedy attorneys who see bundles of money in their victim-clients. Victims of Catholic clergy abuse reluctantly approached the civil courts over two decades ago only because they had been totally frustrated in their attempts to receive justice and support from Church authorities. Their entreaties were nearly always met with disbelief, denial, empty promises or intimidation to remain silent. While Church sponsored critics of victims and their supporters have erroneously focused on the monetary damages, none have acknowledged that Church attorneys do not work pro bono and that in the course of defending the institutional Church, they have reaped millions.

The vast majority of adult victims were incapable and not unwilling to disclose their abuse until well into adulthood. Even then, disclosure often comes with intense guilt and shame and the severe pain of having to re-open old wounds. This of course leads to well-justified anger with the abuser but more important, with the institution that protected him. Recently a high placed Catholic priest spoke to the Minnesota legislature and told them he opposed legislative reform because it would invoke victim anger. Was he concerned about victims? Hardly. He was however, deluded into thinking that the legal process is the cause of the anger. The anger comes from the very fact of having been viciously violated by the powerful and trusted person of a priest. The ability to bring court actions for crimes that were committed years maybe even decades ago impacts the present and the future. Many of the abusers are still alive, living well and quite capable of finding other victims. The claim that these are “old cases” means nothing. The pain for the victims has not only endured but intensified and in many instances their abusers have been able to roam unheeded, ruining the lives of many others. The passage of years does not lessen the criminal nature of the sexual abuse, the devastating impact on the victims and their families or the culpability of the predator. The passage of a bill to suspend the statute of limitations for a period of time will have significant impact:

It will expose predators who are still active and often known to Church or institutional leadership
It will alert Churches and other institutions t the reality that they must put the welfare of the victims ahead of the perceived needs and security of the institution

This is not a “dead issue” that has become history because of the changes instituted by the Catholic Church or by any other denomination or institution. Sexual abuse happens because of sexual dysfunction, not sinfulness, lack of fidelity or an on-going sexual revolution. Sexual predators will always be in our midst but that does not mean we need not take every possible precaution to protect children, minors and the vulnerable from them. There are fewer contemporary cases of clergy sexual abuse because of public enlightenment, a diminished trust in the clergy and a significantly heightened awareness by parents, children and others of the warning signs of sexual abuse and assault. Though there are fewer cases there still are instances of clergy sexual abuse and institutional cover-up and lack of adequate and responsible action. Some bishops have refused to disclose the names and whereabouts of known sexual abusers. Some Church leaders continue to intimidate and punish victims who come forward or those who support victims. Some bishops and other institutional leaders have not removed proven sexual abusers until forced to by civil authorities. Others have refused to heed reports and complaints from parents or others who have stepped forward.

The Opposition to Legislative Reform and their Objections

. In this State and in several others there is opposition to legislative reform that would protect children from sexual abuse or allow victims with time-barred suits to once again approach the civil courts for redress against the institutions that enabled the abuse. The legislative reforms have included:

Mandatory reporting by clergy and Church employees
Extension or elimination of the Statute of Limitations for criminal cases
Extension or elimination of the Statute of Limitations for civil cases
Suspension of the Statute of Limitations on civil cases for a specified period of time

Those who have opposed such changes have included the insurance industry, trial lawyers, private organizations such as the Boy Scouts and several religious denominations. By far the most vociferous and aggressive opposition has come from the institutional Roman Catholic Church. I purposely use the term “institutional Catholic Church” because by its own self-description and biblical roots, the Church is not defined by the clergy or the power structure, but by the people themselves. This is amazing and scandalous because of the public exposure of the Church’s culture and policy of cover-up and mismanagement of clergy sexual abuse over the past decades and even centuries. In several States the State Catholic Conferences have employed a variety of tactics, some of which were scandalous and patently dishonest, to persuade legislators to vote against any legislative reforms. The tactics have included wide dissemination of erroneous information, defamation of victims, their attorneys and their supporters and the use of sensationalistic statements that gain attention but are untrue.

The objections include:

The cases of many adult victims are too old to defend. The Church or institutions would be placed in a disadvantageous position of not being able to defend themselves
Response: The legislature is being asked to allow victims the opportunity to bring a case to court. If there is no available evidence from documents or witnesses the court process will determine that it is not provable.

There are no records reaching back decades
Response: The Catholic Church has an extensive, detailed and well preserved archival system that goes back not only decades but centuries.

There will be a deluge of false claims
Response: Over the past twenty years there have been thousands of civil and criminal cases of clergy sexual abuse. Of these only a minuscule number have turned out to be intentionally falsified claims. A very few others have turned out to be based on mistaken assumptions by the alleged victims but these have been limited to abuse that has been limited to touches or verbal statements.
In California the suspension of the Statute resulted in about 800 cases throughout the State and there are only two known false claims

There will be a flood of claims that will cause a severe curtailment in the Church’s good works such as parish and charitable ministries and will end up in bankruptcy.
Response: There have been no negative effects on Church parishes, ministries or charitable activities as a result of any sexual abuse cases anywhere. In the U.S., about 85% of the funding for al Catholic Charities comes from various government sources. Also, a significant portion of the settlements or jury awards to victims have been paid by insurance carriers. The financial support base of the Catholic Church includes properties that are not used for any Church related activities. It also includes various other holdings generally not publicly known.

The claims will drive the Church to bankruptcy
Response: Although five dioceses have filed for bankruptcy protection none have actually gone bankrupt. The process has revealed not only significant holdings but has also resulted in attempts to set up agreements that would impose unjust stipulations and conditions on actual or potential victims.

The true reason for the bankruptcy filings has not been fear of impending financial disaster. It has been to temporarily stop the trial and discovery processes which would have resulted in the revelation of very embarrassing and incriminating information.

Many claims are based on recovered memory which has been “debunked” by the False Memory Foundation and by other experts.
Recovered memory is recognized as authentic by the mental health, especially the psychiatric community. On the other hand, the basic assumptions of the “False Memory Foundation” are not based on any scientific evidence. According to Dr. Stephanie J. Dallam, “The False Memory Syndrome Foundation has never performed any epidemiological research to support its claims” (cf. Whitfield, Silberg, Fink, editors, Misinformation Concerning Child Sexual Abuse and Adult Survivors. New York, Haworth Press, 2001, p. 20

The most bizarre accusation to arise out of the opposition to legislative reform has been that it constitutes Catholic bashing. There is absolutely no evidence, credible or not, that anyone has either proposed or supported legislative changes because of an innate prejudice or emotional dislike of the Catholic Church. The Maryland Catholic Conference published the ridiculous statement that a series of victim-witnesses “excoriated” the Catholic Church in their testimony. Acknowledging the proven failures of the institutional dimension of the Catholic Church or any other Church is not “bashing” but truth-telling. There is ample evidence to support the clams that the Catholic Church has systematically covered up cases of clergy sexual abuse for years. To label this “Catholic bashing” is nothing more than a form of malicious denial.

The Delaware News Journal published a full page advertisement on June 16, 2006. It was paid for by an organization known as the “American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property.” This advertisement was followed up by another statement directed at the Delaware lawmakers on their website, dated March 12, 2007. Both the advertisement and the web page statement are filled with half-truths, falsehoods, empty assumptions which betray not only a misunderstanding of the issue but a hostile attitude toward victims of clergy abuse. The advertisement is based on an erroneous understanding of the meaning and mission of the Catholic Church.

The American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property is an American branch of an organization of the same name found in Brazil in 1973 by Plinio Correa de Oliveira, author of Revolution and Counter-Revolution which contains the ideological foundation of the organization. It is a conservative, traditionalist organization made up of Catholics lay persons who hold to a highly conservative view of the Church. The founder strongly opposed the Liberation Theology Movement in Latin America as well as any classic liberal or egalitarian ideas. The organization believes that there is a natural elite in all societies, the basis for the belief in a natural aristocracy in a stratified society. It claims a world-wide membership of 120,000.

This organization is not affiliated with or officially approved by the Roman Catholic Church in any way. It basic ideology is contrary to the contemporary official teaching of the Catholic Church and its overall goals and ideals run directly contrary to many of the teaching of the Second Vatican Council.

The objections in the advertisement center on the mistaken assumption that Catholic Church property has been or will be “confiscated” to pay for clergy abuse settlements. This is completely erroneous.

The advertisement uses the emotional term “veiled persecution of the Church” in connection with proposed legislative changes. This connection is too preposterous for any mature adult to accept.

The societal response to the clergy abuse revelation is not, as the society contends, an “assault on the Church,” a “cultural war” or a “test of the faith of millions.”
The advertisement reflects the Society’s view that the clergy sexual abuse problem is the result of a “hypersexualized culture.” There is no credible sociological or anthropological evidence to support this assertion. Furthermore, it speaks to the actual acts of sexual abuse but it does not in any way speak to the culture and policy or organized cover-up of cases nor to the institutionalized failure to report known crimes to law enforcement authorities.

There is an up-side. The legacy of civil suits, grand jury investigations with their devastating reports and attempts to bring about legislative reforms will prove to be a blessing for the Church and private institutions alike. It will continue to force them to evaluate their meaning and their mission. This is especially essential for Churches which can tend to forget that they are about serving the spiritual needs of the people and not only those in positions of authority. The secular society needs to re-think why it has allowed such deference and privilege for organized religions especially when such deference allows these religions to lose their way, stray from their path and bring unspeakable harm to their own members.

For the Catholic Church this legacy has focused on the reality that the Church is not buildings but people and that without buildings, money and political power, there will still be a Church. What are essential are not the external structures but the internal commitment to compassion and love.

The tragedy of clergy sexual abuse has enlightened our society in general to the terrible nightmare we have allowed to unfold in our midst. It has forced us to put organizations, structures and even financial stability in a clearer and more realistic perspective. There is nothing about any Church or anything in the power of any church leader that is so important that it justifies the sacrifice of the emotional, psychological or spiritual well being of even one child.
